2025 Heisman Trophy Odds: Arch Manning Falls After Texas Loss at OSU

It’s Week 1, and the Heisman odds are already undergoing a facelift.

While Texas quarterback Arch Manning opened with the highest odds to take home college football’s highest honor, two other quarterbacks have eclipsed him after a shaky start to Manning’s career as a full-time starter.

Let’s dive into the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Aug. 30.

Arch Manning, Texas: +1400 (bet $10 to win $150 total)
LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)
Sam Leavitt Arizona State: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
Drew Allar, Penn State: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
Julian Sayin, Ohio State: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)

Entering Saturday, Manning was atop the board at +650.

But prior to the Texas-Ohio State game even coming to an end, Manning had dropped all the way to +1500 before the odds were removed from the DraftKings website.

Once the odds returned, he was tied at fourth with Miami’s Carson Beck.

Manning finished Saturday’s game at OSU going 17-of-30 passing for 170 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed the ball 10 times for 38 yards.

Of the top 12 players on the oddsboard, nine of them are quarterbacks, probably because, over the last 12 years, nine of the winners were QBs.

Last year’s winner, Travis Hunter, became the first two-way player since 1997 to win (Charles Woodson).

Tied atop the board now are Garrett Nussmeier and Cade Klubnik.

Nussmeier threw for 4,052 yards and 29 touchdowns last season, while Klubnik threw for 3,639 yards and 36 TDs in 2024.

Klubnik also had 463 rushing yards and seven rushing scores.
