4 Al Jazeera journalists have been killed in an Israeli strike close to Gaza Metropolis’s Al-Shifa Hospital, the broadcaster has stated.
Correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqeh and cameramen Ibrahim Zaher and Mohammed Noufal had been in a tent for journalists on the hospital’s primary gate when it was focused, Al Jazeera reported.
A fortnight in the past, it condemned the Israel Protection Forces (IDF) for what it referred to as a “marketing campaign of incitement” in opposition to its reporters in Gaza, together with al-Sharif.
Shortly after the strike, the IDF confirmed that it had struck Anas al-Sharif, posting on Telegram that he had “served as the top of a terrorist cell in Hamas”.
The IDF didn’t point out any of the opposite journalists who had been killed. The BBC has contacted Al Jazeera for remark.

The IDF assertion accused al-Sharif of posing as a journalist, and being “chargeable for advancing rocket assaults in opposition to Israeli civilians and IDF troops”
It stated it had beforehand “disclosed intelligence” confirming his army affiliation, which included “lists of terrorist coaching programs”.
