US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to China, stating it will face “big problems” if it supplies weapons to Iran. Trump spoke directly to reporters on Saturday, April 11, amid ongoing negotiations with Iran.
Direct Caution to President Xi
Trump addressed Chinese President Xi Jinping, emphasizing that delivering air defense systems to Iran would trigger major consequences. Intelligence indicates China plans to ship these systems within weeks.
Pressed for details, Trump responded firmly: “If China does that, China is gonna have big problems, ok?”
Ceasefire Talks and US Victories
Pakistani officials facilitate in-person discussions between the US and Iran on a ceasefire agreement. Trump, speaking from the White House lawn, noted receiving extensive updates on the talks, which have lasted several hours.
“Regardless of what happens, we win,” Trump declared. “We’ve totally defeated that country.”
He pointed out that US forces have neutralized Iran’s air force, navy, and key leadership. Efforts now center on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, the core demand in the two-week ceasefire.
Trump explained the US acts for nations too “afraid or weak or cheap” to contribute. “We were not helped by NATO,” he added.
On the Pakistan-hosted talks, Trump remarked: “Let’s see what happens, but from my standpoint, I don’t care.”
