Rangers’ Second-Half Collapse Fuels Doubts

Rangers manager Danny Röhl faces growing scrutiny after yet another second-half breakdown. Despite substantial investments in their squad, Rangers risk ending the season without silverware and in third place behind the top two contenders.

Celtic Closes In on Hearts

Celtic narrows the gap to Hearts to a single point and three goals. Attention turns to midweek fixtures: Celtic travels to Motherwell on Wednesday evening, while Hearts hosts Falkirk simultaneously. The title showdown could unfold when Hearts visits Celtic Park this Saturday, testing the resolve of fans from both clubs.

Match Highlights: From Early Tension to Celtic Dominance

Celtic endured a nervy first half. Rangers struck first through Tottenham loanee Mikey Moore, who capitalized after Youssef Chermiti’s shot deflected into his path.

Home frustrations mounted until Yang Hyun-jun restored parity, tapping in Arne Engels’ cutback. Rangers’ offside appeals against Benjamin Nygren proved futile.

Both sides exchanged opportunities before the break, but Celtic seized control afterward. Daizen Maeda outmaneuvered Emmanuel Fernandez to nudge his side ahead.

Rangers failed to rally. Maeda delivered a match-defining moment with his second goal—a spectacular overhead kick, flicked up by himself, sailing over Jack Butland.

Rangers’ lone late threat came from Bojan Miovski’s header striking the bar in stoppage time.
