Katie Price Declines to Fund Husband’s Dubai Prison Release
Reality television personality Katie Price has returned to the United Kingdom following a visit to her husband, Lee Andrews, who is currently detained in Dubai. Price was observed without her wedding ring upon her arrival back in the UK.
Andrews recently failed to appear for a scheduled interview on the morning television program *Good Morning Britain* alongside his wife. Subsequently, the Foreign Office confirmed his detention in Dubai’s Al Awir prison.
Details of Detention and Price’s Stance
Initially, Price stated she had lost contact with Andrews for several days. She recounted their last conversation, during which he reportedly told her he was in the back of a van with his hands bound.
In a recent public statement, Price declared her refusal to finance Andrews’ release. “The only way Lee will get out of prison is he has to sort himself it out himself,” she asserted. Price is demanding explanations from Andrews, stating, “I need answers, and if I don’t like the answers, I’ll be gone. I’m 48. I don’t need to waste my time.”
She emphasized her position, insisting she is “not a mug” and cautioned Andrews against mistreating her. Price also expressed a sense of security, noting she feels “protected” because “I have the nation looking out for me.”
Relationship Timeline and Circumstances
The couple became engaged and married within a short period earlier this year. Reports indicate that Andrews has not yet traveled to the UK during their relationship.
