A 30-year-old Sudanese national, who had been granted leave to remain in the UK until 2028, has been charged with attempted murder and is scheduled to appear in court today.
Badenoch and Farage React to the Disturbances
Kemi Badenoch, addressing the incident, ed her deep dismay, stating, “I’m absolutely horrified. It is a horrific incident.” Reform UK leader Nigel Farage commented on the suspect’s leave-to-remain status, suggesting such permissions are issued too freely. He described the assault as “shocking, barbaric, ghastly.”
