The Concept: A Cosmic Balladeer
The album is structured as a collection of folk tales, all narrated from the perspective of the titular Yodeling Astroman. According to the band, this character emerged from the depths of deep space shortly after the Big Bang. Over eons, the Yodeling Astroman became intertwined with the complexities and contradictions inherent in human existence. This narrative framework provides a distinctive backdrop for the band’s signature sound.
Recording and Production
Yodeling Astroman was meticulously recorded, mixed, and co-produced by Scott Gordon, a seasoned audio engineer known for his work with artists such as Alanis Morissette. The production took place across two locations in Virginia: Virginia Beach and Charlottesville. Touring and Live Performances
Kendall Street Company is currently embarking on a United States tour, which is scheduled to continue through the end of the year. The tour primarily covers the Eastern half of the country, offering fans opportunities to experience their music live. As of now, no UK tour dates have been announced.
