Magnitude 6 earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(1st UPDATE) Phivolcs says each aftershocks and harm are anticipated

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 6 earthquake struck off the coast of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur, at 10:32 pm on Saturday, October 11, in keeping with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The tremor, which was tectonic in nature, had a depth of 24 kilometers. Phivolcs mentioned each aftershocks and harm are anticipated, however no tsunami warning was issued as of late Saturday.

The earthquake was initially reported to be magnitude 6.2, however Phivolcs revised this in its 11:09 pm bulletin.
