THE SHOO-INS
Patriots: Odds off board
Broncos: -10000 (bet $10 to win $10.10 total)
Rams: -4000 (bet $10 to win $10.25 total)
Bills: -1800 (bet $10 to win $10.56 total)
Eagles: -1800 (bet $10 to win $10.56 total)
Seahawks: -1800 (bet $10 to win $10.56 total)
What to know: It would take some pretty epic collapses for these teams to not make it to the postseason — but collapse is always in the cards when it comes to the NFL. The Rams’ odds were off the board last week, but after a road loss to Carolina, they are tied with Seattle at 9-3. The Eagles were at -20000 last week, but after a loss at Chicago, they cratered all the way to -1800. Remember what we said about collapses? Meanwhile, the Bills were at -600 last week, but a blowout road win over Pittsburgh helped them shorten all the way to -1800.
THE ALMOST SHOO-INS
Packers: -1100 (bet $10 to win $10.91 total)
49ers: -800 (bet $10 to win $11.25 total)
What to know: This group is shoo-ins, but not absolute shoo-ins. Green Bay moved from -425 last week to -1100 this week, after a 31-24 win in Detroit. The Packers have now won three in a row, and are second in the NFC North. They will host NFC North-leading Chicago in Week 14. As for San Francisco, it moved slightly, from -700 to -800, after winning its third straight in Week 13. It remains one game behind the Rams and Seahawks in the loss column in the NFC West.
THE SHOULD-BE-GOODS
Jaguars: -550 (bet $10 to win $11.82 total)
Buccaneers: -500 (bet $10 to win $12 total)
Colts: -310 (bet $10 to win $13.23 total)
Bears: -310 (bet $10 to win $13.23 total)
Ravens: -240 (bet $10 to win $14.17 total)
What to know: Here is where things get interesting. Each of these teams is favored to make the postseason, but that could quickly swing the other way. The Jags and Colts are both 8-4 and tied atop the AFC South, after Indy began the season 7-1. The Bucs (7-5) are 1-3 in their last four and are one game ahead of the Panthers in the loss column in the NFC South. The Bears (9-3) have the best record in the NFC North and just beat the Eagles in Philly, but they have two games remaining against Green Bay, one against the 49ers and one against Detroit. And lastly, the Ravens (6-6) are tied with the Steelers for top spot in the AFC North, with two games remaining against Pittsburgh, and games against the Bengals, Patriots and Packers still on the schedule.
THE ON-THE-CUSPS
Chargers: -135 (bet $10 to win $17.41 total)
Texans: -150 (bet $10 to win $16.67 total)
Lions: +115 (bet $10 to win $21.50 total)
Chiefs: +120 (bet $10 to win $22 total)
Steelers: +260 (bet $10 to win $36 total)
Cowboys: +290 (bet $10 to win $39 total)
Panthers: +320 (bet $10 to win $42 total)
What to know: OK, so these teams have a chance, but they have a little bit of a hill to climb. The only one of these teams that would be in the playoffs if they started today is the Chargers (8-4), but they have games left at home against Philly and Houston, and road games against Kansas City, Dallas and Denver. And, Justin Herbert just had surgery on an injured left hand. The Texans (7-5) have the best defense in the league but are third in their division, trailing Jacksonville and Indy by a game. The Lions (7-5) are 3-4 in their last seven and third in the NFC North. Kansas City is (6-6), third in its division, has lost three of four and will face the Texans and Chargers in the next two weeks. The Steelers (6-6) have also lost three of four and travel to Baltimore in Week 14. As for the Cowboys (6-5-1) and Panthers (7-6), each are on the come-up and second in their divisions by a slim margin. Dallas is coming off a Thanksgiving win over K.C. and the Panthers just beat the Rams in Carolina.
THE HIGHLY UNLIKLIES
Bengals: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total)
What to know: Joe Burrow has started three games this season. Cincy is 3-0 in those games. In the nine games Burrow missed, Cincy went 1-8. Oh, what could have been? The Bengals blasted the Ravens in Baltimore last week to keep their playoff hopes alive, moving from +3000 to +850 — but it’s looking like too little, too late.
THE NO-SHOTS
Dolphins: +10000 (bet $10 to win $1,010 total)
Falcons: +15000 (bet $10 to win $1,510 total)
Vikings: +15000 (bet $10 to win $1,510 total)
Browns: +20000 (bet $10 to win $2,010 total)
Commanders: +20000 (bet $10 to win $2,010 total)
Jets: +50000 (bet $10 to win $5,010 total)
Saints: Eliminated from playoff contention
Cardinals: Eliminated from playoff contention
Raiders: Eliminated from playoff contention
Titans: Eliminated from playoff contention
Giants: Eliminated from playoff contention
What to know: Nothing to see here.
