On a Thursday in September 2014, one life can be saved and three lives can be modified perpetually. Her second time in Clearlake, Particular Agent Jill Brenny was assigned to an enforcement sweep of gang offenders and was accompanied by two extra Particular Brokers within the Gang Unit of Homeland Safety Investigations, together with Clearlake Cops and a Lake County Probation agent.

The group stumbled on a trash-filled lot with a grimy and forlorn feminine pit bull that was chained to a fire-charred and dilapidated RV. Her eyes had been crusted with an infection and open sores that gave the impression to be burn marks lined her ears and neck. Her head hung low, although she stirred when she heard voices.
“There was no approach I used to be leaving that canine there,” said Agent Brenny. Little did she notice that she would put in movement a rescue effort that will span 4 states.

Agent Brenny began emailing and texting fellow canine lovers whom she thought could be searching for an addition to their household. She discovered the one – Therefore Williams, a US Probation Officer and EMT in Vernal, Utah.
Officer Williams was ready in Reno when Agent Brenny and Honey arrived. He had introduced alongside his different rescued Pit, named Cooper. Each women appear like twins separated at beginning. They bonded instantly and have been inseparable, even sleeping cuddled up collectively. Officer Williams has renamed her “Anna.”
Officer Williams determined to take Anna to his previous vet in New Mexico, with whom he had a longstanding relationship. After an intensive examination and x-rays, it turned obvious that Anna had sustained a damaged humerus throughout her years of abuse and neglect and that the bones had healed offset, which was inflicting her ache. That vet supplied his opinion that the leg couldn’t be saved, and an amputation was carried out on November 19, 2014.
The SPCA of Clear Lake wish to prolong a deeply heartfelt thank-you to Agent Brenny and Officer Williams for his or her dedication to rehoming a badly abused pit bull. Your selfless acts have given Anna a contented ending.
