WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration has concluded that San Jose State College discriminated towards ladies by letting a transgender athlete play on the ladies’s volleyball crew, the U.S. Schooling Division stated Wednesday.

The division provided San Jose State a deal that may resolve the case. The college, situated in California, must settle for the administration’s definition of “male” and “feminine,” restore titles and data that Trump officers say have been “misappropriated by male athletes,” and subject an apology to feminine athletes.

College officers didn’t instantly remark.

The division has taken motion towards a collection of states, faculties and faculties that permit transgender athletes, one thing President Donald Trump has promised to finish. If San Jose State rejects the proposed deal, it might face a Justice Division lawsuit and threat dropping federal funding.

The investigation into San Jose State was opened in February alongside an identical one on the College of Pennsylvania.
