Ant McPartlin has relocated from his London residence to a sprawling £10 million new-build mansion in a serene Surrey village, alongside his wife Anne-Marie Corbett.
New Family Home in Surrey
The television presenter, aged 50, completed the purchase two months after selling his previous £6 million Wimbledon property. The move follows a contentious planning dispute at the former home, where he sought permission to remove several trees.
Local authorities had initially approved the removal of six protected trees—four cypress, a Weymouth pine, and a yew—protected under a Tree Preservation Order (TPO). Neighbors objected strongly, arguing in submissions that the environmental and community benefits of preserving the trees outweighed any personal preferences. One resident highlighted that no justification existed for the felling.
In response to the backlash, McPartlin and Corbett revised their plans to retain the trees and construct around them. However, the couple ultimately decided to sell and relocate for family reasons, according to a spokesperson. The family has since invested significant funds into customizing their new residence.
Local Buzz and Settling In
The acquisition has generated considerable excitement in the village, with residents describing it as a record sale for the exclusive private estate spanning an acre of grounds. “It is one of the prime private estates in an acre of grounds so he shouldn’t have trouble with the neighbors anymore,” one local remarked.
McPartlin and Corbett, who welcomed their son Wilder in May 2024, have been spotted enjoying outings in the area. Another villager noted, “He looks very content and is always happy to say hello to people who recognise him but I don’t think he will be bothered too much around here as we are used to all the celebrities packing out the local hostelries.” The new home incurred £1 million in stamp duty alone.
Professional Success and Personal Life
The purchase aligns with McPartlin’s recent professional milestone: a £30 million contract renewal with ITV alongside longtime collaborator Declan Donnelly, also 50. Donnelly has meanwhile acquired his third property on a single London street.
McPartlin and Corbett began their relationship in 2018, following his divorce from Lisa Armstrong, to whom he was married from 2006. Their previous Wimbledon house, occupied since 2019, featured a three-story design with five reception rooms, a cinema, sunroom, open-plan kitchen, study, and office.
