The Detroit Lions fan who had an altercation with Pittsburgh Steelers extensive receiver DK Metcalf in Week 16 has filed a lawsuit in search of $100 million in damages, claiming he was bodily harmed and was falsely accused of creating racist feedback in direction of Metcalf. 

The lawsuit was filed in Wayne County Circuit Courtroom by an legal professional on behalf of Ryan Kennedy and names Metcalf, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ford Area Administration LLC, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Shay Shay Media LLC and All Time Sports activities LLC as defendants. 

Metcalf was suspended two video games by the NFL for reaching into the stands and grabbing Kennedy in the course of the altercation. Kennedy claimed the incident was sparked by him calling Metcalf by his full identify. On Shannon Sharpe’s “Nightcap” podcast, Chad Johnson claimed Kennedy used racial slurs in speaking about Metcalf and his mom. 

That report was picked up by quite a few shops, and Kennedy’s attorneys declare the end result was “branding Kennedy as a racist on a nationwide scale and subjecting him to dying threats, hate mail, and extreme injury to his enterprise repute.” 

Kennedy held a press convention in December to disclaim these accusations and referred to as on Metcalf to “right the document” and publicly verify he did not use racist language. Metcalf declined to talk about the incident after his reinstatement following his suspension. 

“Defendants have didn’t situation any public retractions or corrections acknowledging that Plaintiff Kennedy by no means used racial slurs or hate speech,” in accordance with the lawsuit. “Defendant Metcalf, regardless of being the alleged supply of the false and reckless statements, has refused to situation any public assertion clarifying that Plaintiff Kennedy didn’t use racial slurs, thereby perpetuating the defamatory statements.”
