Tia Lineker expressed relief after a cancelled flight from Italy diverted her to London, sparing her a return to Dubai amid recent missile strikes.
Tia Lineker’s Narrow Escape
The 26-year-old influencer, daughter of Wayne Lineker, resides in Dubai with her husband Harry Agombar and their three-year-old son Alba. Harry serves as head coach for UAE Third Division League side Arabian Falcons.
In a post to her 584,000 Instagram followers, Tia detailed her fortune. “We got very lucky with the timing of our trip, as we were about to travel back to Dubai from Italy, our flight got cancelled so we rerouted to London to stay with family,” she wrote.
She continued, “I’ve been in London for the last few days just in complete shock with what is going on in the world. My heart is breaking for the place we call home. I hope normality is restored soon.” Tia added that she holds “complete faith in the government to protect everyone.”
The couple, married in a lavish Mallorca ceremony in August 2025, relocated to Dubai in 2023. Tia often shares glimpses of their life there, including fashion posts from their mansion and outings to beach clubs and desert resorts.
Ferdinand Family Shelters in Dubai Bunker
Dubai faces ongoing Iranian missile attacks, heightening concerns for expatriates. Kate and Rio Ferdinand, who moved to the UAE last August with children Shae, two, Cree, five, and Rio’s daughter Tia, 14, revealed their underground bunker.
Kate shared an Instagram Story from their basement gym, showing a family workout. “Good morning. A very hectic but wholesome family workout this morning. Hope everyone is ok,” she captioned, wearing a black gym set while Rio performed ab exercises nearby.
Rio, 47, discussed the situation on his podcast, Rio Ferdinand Presents. “Been a different week for me, not going to lie,” he said. “It’s frightening when you hear missiles, planes and fighter jets going above us… It’s telling your kids what it is and helping them navigate through this moment.”
He described feeling “scary” yet “secure,” noting the family slept in the basement with duvets on the first night and now uses it as a bunker while homeschooling and exercising together.
Britons Take Cover Amid Escalating Tensions
British nationals stranded in Dubai shelter in underground car parks and nightclubs as missiles target the region. Social media videos capture drones and debris striking luxury hotels, with guests lying on floors or mattresses in safer areas like service corridors.
