Carrick Unfazed by Defeat
Carrick emphasized that the loss will not alter preparations for Villa. “The preparation for Villa will be just like any other week,” he stated.
He acknowledged the emotional impact of defeat but stressed the need to move forward. “We win a game, we lose a game—it changes your feelings, of course. We’ve got to learn from it and get better,” Carrick said.
Praising his team’s recent form, he added, “We’ve had a lot of praise lately, and the boys deserved it. Tonight, we’re disappointed, but it doesn’t change how we approach the next game.”
Carrick highlighted the bigger picture: “We’ve lost one game. We haven’t played well enough, but in the grand scheme of things, we’re in a decent position. Tonight hurts because we don’t like losing, but we’ll be better for the next one.”
United now enters a 10-day period focused on recovery, training, and fine-tuning ahead of the Villa match, with everything on the line in the title race.
