Gia Fleur’s New Romance Blossoms Off-Screen
Married At First Sight contestant Gia Fleur, 35, has confirmed she has begun a serious relationship with Love Triangle star Alan Wallace, 35, even as her on-screen marriage to Scott McCristal continues to air on television across Australia.
The couple’s connection started subtly toward the end of MAFS filming. They first spoke via FaceTime during the final week and met in person at a Sydney party in December. Gia immediately felt drawn to Alan, admitting strong jealousy when he interacted with other women.
‘When I saw Alan for the first time I knew I liked him because I was getting super jealous of him speaking to another girl,’ Gia stated. ‘I was following him around most of the day trying to see if they were going to kiss or not. I was instantly like that’s my man – he just doesn’t know it yet.’
From Sparks to Commitment
Their conversations continued sporadically for months before becoming official around New Year’s Eve. Gia highlighted Alan’s emotional maturity and alignment with her values, noting compatibility beyond initial attraction.
‘What drew me to him was that he was emotionally mature and deep, and seemed to be everything on paper I had asked the experts for,’ she explained.
After relocating to Melbourne from a brief stay on the Gold Coast, Gia realized the depth of her feelings. ‘I knew it was more than a casual fling when I moved back to Melbourne and wanted to spend every single day with him and did,’ she said. ‘I missed him when I was with him and we both were literally obsessed.’
Alan approached cautiously, aware of Gia’s intense MAFS experience. ‘Coming off a f**king experience like that I knew it would be very confronting,’ he said. He appreciated her persistent interest, even early on when he was reserved.
The relationship deepened after shifting focus from reality TV to personal values and future goals. ‘When I had a bit of a conversation with her about not wanting to constantly talk about MAFS and all the reality TV stuff, that’s when things started to change,’ Alan shared.
Challenges of Keeping It Secret
With Gia’s storyline still unfolding on air, the pair has maintained privacy to respect the show’s narrative. ‘Navigating the new relationship has been hard, which is why I’ve done no Stan show and minimal press because I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott when I’m so in love with Alan,’ Gia revealed.
Alan chose not to watch her episodes to avoid emotional strain. Their first public date occurred recently, after months of private time together. Now official, Alan confirmed, ‘I’ve asked her to be my girlfriend and we’re officially together. She’s moving in and things are progressing in the right way.’
Reflecting on the MAFS Marriage
Gia described the end of her connection with Scott after the final dinner party. ‘I knew my feelings for Scott were gone after the final dinner party when he treated me like a piece of shit,’ she said. She cited rudeness during reunion and publicity, lack of respect, and mismatched goals like differing views on children.
‘He didn’t want kids and I did,’ Gia added. ‘But in the end he proved he was just there for clout because he played me and didn’t leave with me.’
