Love Island USA alum Alana Paolucci has announced her engagement to boyfriend Sebastian Sartor nearly five years after her post-show breakup.
Romantic Proposal in Paris
Paolucci shared the news on Instagram Thursday, revealing that Sartor proposed during a romantic getaway to Paris. The couple posed in front of the Eiffel Tower as she showcased her sparkling diamond ring. With her 33rd birthday approaching on March 23, Paolucci described the trip in her caption as the ‘best birthday trip ever.’
Love Island USA Journey
Paolucci appeared as a bombshell in season three of the reality series. She coupled up with Charlie Lynch on day 32 and the pair finished fourth on day 40.
Less than a month after leaving the villa, they ended their relationship. During an August 2021 appearance on After the Island, Paolucci stated, ‘We are not in a relationship. We still have a lot to work on as far as communication is concerned. But we’ll play it by ear and see if we can make it work, I guess.’
In a later Pop Culture interview, Lynch reflected on his villa experience, saying he ‘would be remiss’ if he ‘didn’t still think about’ coupling with Cashay Proudfoot instead. Paolucci responded, ‘I think he just kind of dropped a bomb on me. He never expressed that to me, so I’m processing my emotions.’
The couple officially split the following month. Since then, season three winners Olivia Kaiser and Korey Gandy, along with runners-up Will Moncada and Kyra Lizama, have also parted ways.
Blossoming Romance with Sartor
Paolucci began dating Sartor in November 2021. Marking their first anniversary in a November 2022 Instagram post, she wrote, ‘One year ago was our first date and we have been inseparable ever since. It’s been a year of love, pure joy, laughter, exploration, support and everything I only prayed to find one day. Thank you for making me believe in love again. You are my whole heart and one of the most incredible people to walk this earth.’
For their second anniversary the next year, she shared, ‘I used to cry because I never thought I would find real love,’ adding that she felt like the ‘luckiest girl alive.’
