Amanda Bynes, the 40-year-old former child star now focusing on music, was spotted rushing through Los Angeles on errands after a whirlwind of recent updates. Five days prior, she surprised fans by releasing her new single “Girlfriend,” featuring Zabba and Fenix Flexin, through Create Music Group.
New Single Sparks Buzz
Bynes had teased the track for months, sharing a snippet in January and announcing in February that Fenix Flexin would join her on “Girlfriend,” calling it “straight fire.” The unexpected drop marked her pivot into music following her signing with the distribution platform.
Striking Hair and Style Transformation
Surfacing in LA post-release, Bynes debuted raven-black hair, a dramatic shift from her previous platinum blonde. She showcased her slender legs in navy shorts, paired with a casual grey hoodie and UGG boots. Her swept-back hairstyle highlighted dyed blue eyebrows, completing the fresh look.
Ozempic Weight Loss Journey
Bynes has openly shared her progress with Ozempic, a popular weight loss injectable. In December, she posted on social media that she dropped from 180lbs to 152lbs, stating, “I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!” She first announced starting Ozempic in June, aiming for 130lbs to “look better in paparazzi pictures.”
By November, she reported losing 20lbs to reach 163lbs, explaining a temporary gain to 180lbs before resuming injections. In 2024, she attributed a 20lb gain to depression and set a goal to return to her teenage weight of 110lbs. Now dating Zachary Khan, Bynes noted the treatment is “working” as she continues toward feeling “skinny and cute.”
Other Appearance Updates
Bynes underwent lip fillers in August and eyelid surgery, known as blepharoplasty, in 2023. She described the procedure as “one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence.” Last May, she got a Roman numeral X tattoo on her finger to celebrate a 10-year friendship anniversary with pal Dylan, who matched the ink.
