BT, the United Kingdom’s largest network provider serving up to 30 million households and businesses, has notified customers of its latest price adjustments. These changes aim to deliver predictable and transparent pricing while supporting ongoing investments in nationwide connectivity.
New Pricing Regulations and Customer Transitions
Recent regulatory updates require telecom providers to disclose price changes in pounds and pence. BT is transitioning customers who signed contracts before this requirement, as well as those beyond their minimum term, to the updated pricing structure.
BT states: “This change means all our customers will benefit from a fairer, more transparent pricing approach, aligned with Ofcom and Government guidelines.”
Timing of Price Increases
- Customers within their minimum term: Annual increase applies on March 31 each year.
- Customers post-minimum term: Increase effective from March 1 annually.
- New customers or upgrades on or after March 1, 2026: Subject to these terms.
- Minimum term customers: No alterations to their contracted increase amounts.
