Canada and the Philippines are getting nearer

With North American geopolitics in flux, Canada is trying to the remainder of the world for stronger partnerships

The friendship between the Philippines and Canada is warming up like a Tim Hortons Double Double. As a result of politics in North America is murky proper now, to say the least, Ottawa has been trying to the remainder of the world for stronger partnerships. Manila is one shiny spot.

An space through which broadening bilateral ties is obvious is safety cooperation. Naval visits and joint workout routines with the Canadians are growing, and that’s a welcome growth. With the US changing into much less predictable — i.e. dependable — in most each side of worldwide relations together with protection cooperation, the Philippines wants credible companions to maintain keeping off an ever-adventurous China.
