Professor Xueqin Jiang, dubbed China’s Nostradamus, delivers a stark warning on rising US-Iran tensions amid ongoing Middle East conflicts. This Chinese-Canadian educator and YouTube host with 1.87 million followers on Predictive History gains attention for three 2024 predictions, two already confirmed.
2024 Predictions Hit the Mark
In May 2024, during lectures at his Chinese secondary school, Jiang forecasted Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 election, returning him to the White House. This prediction proved accurate.
Paired with it, Jiang warned of a high chance of US war with Iran during a second Trump term. He highlighted Israel’s interests as a key driver, aligning with current developments in joint US-Israel operations.
The Third Dire Forecast: American Defeat
Jiang’s final 2024 prediction centers on a US loss in any conflict with Iran, potentially reshaping global order. He argues Iran’s demographics, geography, supply line challenges, internal resistance, and rugged terrain would turn initial gains into strategic disaster.
“If this war were to happen, there’s absolutely no way America can win this war,” Jiang states in a video.
The history and philosophy scholar compares a US invasion to Athens’ failed Sicilian Expedition from 415 to 413 BC, where ambitions against Sparta, Syracuse, and Corinth led to catastrophe.
Foundations of Jiang’s Analysis
Teaching at Moonshot Academy Beijing since 2022, Jiang bases forecasts on geopolitical patterns, historical cycles, and game theory. His channel explores Isaac Asimov’s ‘psycho-history’ concept to predict futures.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps seeks confrontation due to US interference, Jiang explains. “We can suspect that a second Trump term war with Iran will be a major priority. Basically the United States is looking for a reason and Iran wants to give them a reason,” he notes, predicting conflict within two to four years.
Recent Insights on Breaking Points
On the American program Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar in early March, Jiang elaborated. “Iran has many more advantages over the United States. It’s a war of attrition, and Iranians have been preparing 20 years for this,” he said.
Iran’s proxies—Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis—have studied US strategies, he claims. Last June’s 12-day clash allowed Iran to assess strikes, with eight months of preparation since.
“What the Iranians are doing is waging war against the entire global economy,” Jiang warns, citing attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council energy infrastructure. A recent drone strike on a Bahrain desalination plant underscores risks, potentially leaving millions without water.
Iran has effectively blockaded the Strait of Hormuz, vital for 90% of GCC food supplies. Jiang predicts mounting pressure for US ground troops, as air campaigns alone cannot achieve regime change. “You need ground troops,” he emphasizes, especially with demands from Israel and GCC nations.
As Middle East hostilities intensify, Jiang’s predictions spark debate on geopolitical futures.
