A Wasaga Beach woman is expressing frustration after being unable to claim concert tickets purchased months ago for her daughter, a devoted fan of country artist Bailey Zimmerman.
A Disappointing Christmas Present
Donna Caissie purchased two tickets for Bailey Zimmerman’s June 18 concert in Toronto as a Christmas gift for her daughter, Jessica. The tickets, bought in October for $536 via StubHub, were intended to be a special treat, with Donna opting for the more expensive seats knowing her daughter wouldn’t splurge on them herself.
“This was a Christmas present for her because I know she loves Bailey Zimmerman, and I purchased the more expensive ones because I knew she would not do that for herself,” Donna Caissie explained.
Technical Glitch Prevents Ticket Claim
In April, Donna received a notification from StubHub indicating the tickets were ready for claiming. However, upon attempting to access them, she encountered an error message. The system appeared to be experiencing a glitch, preventing the tickets from being released.
“I have two tickets for my daughter that I can see in my StubHub account. But StubHub is saying I can’t claim the tickets because they’ve already been claimed,” Donna stated.
A Two-Month Standoff
The family has been attempting to resolve the issue for the past two months, with the concert date looming. As of the concert day, the problem remained unresolved.
“StubHub is telling me it’s Ticketmaster’s problem. Ticketmaster is telling me it’s StubHub’s problem. It seems no one wants to take the blame for why we don’t have any tickets,” Donna reported.
In a bid to secure the seats her mother paid for, Jessica even reached out directly to Bailey Zimmerman on Instagram for assistance. Representatives were contacted on the Caissie family’s behalf, and a spokesperson indicated that the matter was under review.
Hopes for Resolution or Refund
Donna expressed hope that her daughter would still be able to attend the concert. If not, she is seeking a full refund.
“I hope if they are not going to reissue the tickets, they can at least give us our money back. So she can either repurchase tickets to see Bailey Zimmerman, or I guess she is out a Christmas present,” Donna concluded.
