Food Courier Receives Prison Sentence for Exposure Crimes
A 47-year-old delivery driver has been sentenced to six months imprisonment following multiple incidents of public indecency during food deliveries. Sethupathi Perisamy exposed himself to residents while making deliveries across three Berkshire towns between March and May of last year.
Pattern of Offenses Emerges
Law enforcement officials reported that Perisamy committed acts of public exposure while responding to delivery requests in Maidenhead, Slough, and Windsor. The incidents occurred over a two-month period during his employment with an undisclosed food delivery service.
“After receiving multiple complaints, investigators identified a clear pattern of behavior targeting customers during routine food deliveries,” a police representative confirmed. Perisamy was taken into custody on May 16 and formally charged the following day with five counts of indecent exposure.
Court Imposes Strict Prevention Order
At a January 28 hearing in Reading Crown Court, Perisamy received his custodial sentence along with a decade-long Sexual Harm Prevention Order. The court-imposed restrictions will actively monitor the offender’s activities following his prison release.
Detective Constable Ashley Jones, the lead investigator on the case, stated: “These predatory actions caused considerable distress to victims. Our team conducted a meticulous investigation to ensure appropriate consequences for these violations of public decency.”
Authorities encourage residents to report any similar incidents through official police channels, emphasizing the importance of community vigilance regarding delivery personnel conduct.
