Milan – Dolce & Gabbana presents a striking all-black collection at Milan Fashion Week, emphasizing the brand’s deep-rooted heritage and core identity.
Pop icon Madonna, who stars in the brand’s latest fragrance campaigns, attends the front-row viewing of the runway show.
Investments Amid Market Shifts
The fashion house continues heavy investments in its beauty division, fully integrated in-house three years prior, even as luxury goods demand eases.
Runway Highlights
Titled “Identity,” the show kicks off with coats and jackets designed so their backs mirror the buttoned fronts. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana outfit models in sharp tailored suits and sheer black lace dresses, layered with shawls and mid-calf socks. Footwear features low lace-up styles or towering stiletto heels.
“Identity is the ultimate luxury — a language built on roots that are still alive: Sicily as emotion, black as strength, lace as intimacy, tailoring as authority,” the designers state in the show notes.
