Dyson introduces a limited-edition colorway named Ceramic Apricot and Topaz for its haircare devices. This vibrant palette blends mandarin orange, apricot blush, gold accents, and pink highlights, drawing inspiration from the summer solstice.
Capturing the Essence of Summer
Dyson designates this as ‘The Colour of Summer 2026,’ reflecting the longest day of the year through shifts in daylight, temperature, and color spectrum. The design incorporates warm apricots, bold oranges, and playful pinks to evoke higher wavelengths of light at sunrise, noon, and sunset.
Amelia Ayerst, manager on the Dyson Colors, Materials, and Finish (CMF) team, explains: “Researching the solstice, we were inspired by mapping out shifts in daylight intensity, temperature, and the color spectrum. Using this data, we blended pigments that mimic the higher wavelengths of visible light found at sunrise, noon and sunset: warm apricots, bold oranges and playful pinks.”
She adds that the palette radiates “liberation, energy and celebration — bringing the outdoors in and representing the high-energy vibrancy of the sun.” The main body features apricot and vibrant orange, with metallic pink on the filter casing and gold on buttons and switches.
Devices and Availability
The colorway appears on the Airwrap multistyler, Airstrait wet-to-dry straightener, Supersonic Nural, and Supersonic r hair dryers. The Corrale straightener does not feature in promotional images.
In the UK, Ceramic Apricot and Topaz becomes available directly from Dyson and at Boots. International rollout follows typical patterns, though specific details for regions like the US and Australia remain forthcoming. Previous limited editions, such as Jasper Plum and Red Velvet from January 2025, continue to sell.
