A lady was rescued by firefighters after she was swept 9 miles down San Jose Creek, the Los Angeles County Hearth Division stated Wednesday.
The lady, whose identify was not launched, was first noticed within the creek close to Fullerton Street by the 60 Freeway round 1:50 p.m. When firefighters arrived on the scene 17 minutes later, the girl was gone, the Hearth Division stated.
“She went downstream for some time,” stated Pauline McGee, a spokesperson for the L.A. County Hearth Division.
The Hearth Division continued in search of the girl downstream, sending fireplace vans and utilizing a helicopter, in keeping with footage shot by newsgathering outlet OnScene.TV.
Ultimately, the girl was rescued at Workman Mill Street in San Jose Creek, McGee stated.

McGee stated the girl was taken to a hospital, however her situation was not instantly clear.
The creek is about 2 toes deep and the water was flowing about 8 to 10 mph, McGee stated.
