A frozen meals producer is recalling roughly 3.4 million kilos of rooster fried rice merchandise shipped to Dealer Joe’s places across the U.S. and to retailers in Canada as a result of they may comprise glass.
The recall, reported by the Division of Agriculture on Thursday, includes frozen “not ready-to-eat” rooster fried rice produced by a Portland, Oregon-based Ajinomoto Meals North America between Sept. 8, 2025, and Nov. 17, 2025. The gadgets bought at Dealer Joe’s grocery shops are available 20-ounce packages and comprise stir-fried rice, greens, rooster and eggs.
Ajinomoto can also be recalling cardboard packages exported to Canada that comprise six luggage of frozen rooster fried rice labeled “Ajinomoto yakitori rooster with Japanese-style fried rice” and that bear the best-by dates of Sept. 9 by Nov. 12.
The USDA’s Meals Security and Inspection Service (FSIS) stated in an internet discover that the merchandise could also be contaminated with overseas materials, “particularly glass.”
Ajinomoto notified the company after 4 clients reported discovering glass within the product.
No accidents tied to the frozen rooster fried rice have been reported, in accordance with the FSIS. The company advises shoppers who purchased the product to not eat it and to throw it away.
