James Gadson, the renowned R&B drummer known for collaborations with Paul McCartney and Diana Ross, has passed away at age 86.
His wife, Barbara, announced that Gadson died on April 2 after facing multiple health struggles, including recent surgery and a severe fall that resulted in a back injury. Barbara shared, “He was a wonderful man. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and one hell of a drummer.”
