Kat Graham, the 36-year-old star of The Vampire Diaries, has welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband Bryant Wood.
New Arrival Announcement
The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting adorable photos from the nursery. Kat appears radiant as she cradles her newborn. They revealed the baby’s name as Prospero “Spero” Nyemah Wood, writing, ‘Welcome to the world Prospero “Spero” Nyemah Wood.’
Pregnancy Reveal
In December, Kat and Bryant announced they were expecting. They posted black-and-white Polaroid images showcasing her baby bump, captioned simply, ‘We’re having a baby!!! ✨.’
Photos capture Kat cradling her belly while lifting a ribbed turtleneck sweater and revealing a low-cut satin bra. Bryant joins in, posing sweetly with his head on her stomach and chest. Kat reshared the post on her Instagram Stories, adding ‘Baby on board!’ Bryant captioned a clip, ‘Happy Thanksgiving from the Wood Family! We are having a baby!’
Wedding Celebrations
Kat and Bryant eloped in 2023 and held a second ceremony on their two-year anniversary in August. Kat explained in a recent interview, ‘We really wanted to have a second wedding because, technically, it was our first wedding.’
She described their elopement: ‘When we initially eloped, it was incredibly private — we had someone come to the house and marry us with only our dogs as witnesses. It was intimate and romantic in its own way, but this time we wanted to celebrate our love surrounded by our family and friends.’
The event hosted 120 guests at a private estate in Mountain Center, California. Bryant, a wellness instructor, emphasized fun elements: ‘The next most important thing for me was the gamification and fun — the playfulness and joy.’ They built a ‘mini ranch’ with a mechanical bull for a contest complete with prizes, which he won.
The couple blended their cultural roots, featuring Italian dishes like pasta wheels to honor Bryant’s Sicilian heritage and African music reflecting Kat’s Liberian family background. Kat noted, ‘I wanted incredible Italian dishes, pasta wheels, and moments that made people feel nurtured.’
