Kim Zolciak firmly denies claims that she has lost custody of her four children shared with ex-husband Kroy Biermann following a judge’s recent order.
Zolciak Addresses Court Order and Rumors
A Georgia judge ruled that the couple’s children—KJ, 14, Kash, 13, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12—must remain with Biermann, 40, until Zolciak, 47, completes four required parent therapy sessions.
Zolciak took to Instagram Stories to refute the reports, sharing a screenshot of the claims and declaring, ‘I will absolutely not put up with these lies any longer.’
In a detailed post, she clarified signing a temporary custody order at the end of January. This agreement mandates two counseling sessions per month for the first two months, followed by one session monthly. Zolciak explained missing sessions due to international filming commitments from February 26 to March 28, during which she had no days off.
She noted that Biermann currently has the children for spring break, aligning with his designated parenting time. Zolciak confirmed her sessions are scheduled for next week, after which she expects to resume her parenting time on Friday when school resumes.
‘For the avoidance of any doubt, I have not lost custody of my children, nor has there been any modification to the custody agreement outside of the agreed upon temporary order,’ Zolciak emphasized.
Biermann’s Custody Filing and Allegations
Biermann recently filed for sole custody, accusing Zolciak of neglecting parental duties. Court documents detail her extensive travel abroad from February 26 to March 29, during which she reportedly failed to exercise parenting time except for one evening on March 9, when a child suffered a dog bite.
Biermann described her actions as ‘blatant mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities’ and claimed she entered the temporary joint custody plan in bad faith. He alleged Zolciak allowed the children to miss therapy sessions on her parenting days, failed to attend her own required therapy, and misled therapists.
The former NFL player seeks sole custody, stating he can prove through testimony that Zolciak is unfit as a parent.
Family Background and Divorce Timeline
The couple, married in 2011, share joint custody temporarily after mediation on January 27. Biermann adopted Zolciak’s older daughters, Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24, from prior relationships.
Zolciak dismissed Biermann’s accusations as false attempts to defame her, explaining her five-week absence supported the family through work on two TV shows. ‘I refuse to be bullied or have lies twisted into a narrative about who I am,’ she stated.
The pair separated in May 2023, with divorce proceedings starting in August 2023.
