Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Expectant Mother and Daughter
A 36-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child died following a bicycle collision in Los Angeles on Saturday evening. Regan Cole-Graham was riding an e-bike with her husband Matt Graham and their two young sons when a white sedan traveling in the same direction struck her on Pershing Drive around 6 p.m., authorities confirmed.
Details of the Incident
Law enforcement officials stated the impact ejected both Cole-Graham and an unidentified passenger from the e-bike. Emergency responders transported the victims to a nearby hospital where Cole-Graham succumbed to her injuries. Her seven-month-old unborn daughter was pronounced dead overnight Sunday according to medical staff.
Family and Community Response
Organizers of a memorial fundraiser described Cole-Graham as a ‘loving and devoted wife, fierce and joyful mother, and loyal sister.’ The campaign, created to support funeral expenses and her surviving children’s future needs, has raised over $122,000 since Monday.
A family friend shared on social media: ‘If you’re able to contribute, please support this family whose lives changed irreversibly in moments.’ The message emphasized that financial support remains voluntary given varying circumstances.
Ongoing Investigation
The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. No charges have been filed as of Tuesday morning while authorities reconstruct the incident.
