Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass introduced Saturday that greater than 2,400 potholes have been repaired throughout the town after the current rainstorms.
Los Angeles noticed document rainfall over the Christmas and New 12 months’s Eve holidays, with greater than 7 inches falling throughout the town since Dec. 23. The town’s Bureau of Avenue Providers devoted extra assets towards pothole repairs, together with deploying extra personnel who’re working longer hours throughout the week and weekend, officers mentioned.

“Los Angeles noticed document rainfall over the vacation season, and we’re more and more seeing extra excessive climate occasions,” Bass mentioned. “Metropolis public works crews are out daily fixing potholes and responding to requires service to reduce impacts to Angelenos. Angelenos are inspired to report potholes to 311.”
