A New Jersey sicko tortured and killed stray and deserted cats he lured to his house with meals, authorities allege.
Atlantic Metropolis police obtained complaints about Edwin Sanabia after the 26-year-old resident allegedly trespassed onto a neighbor’s property to viciously swat a number of strays with a stick.
The felines Sanabia focused have been hiding inside a makeshift shelter, in response to an indictment obtained by The Publish.
Authorities declare Sanabia used cans of tuna fish to lure the neighborhood strays to his house.
He beat, tortured and ultimately killed the cats, in response to prosecutors — earlier than tossing their carcasses into a close-by dumpster, cops mentioned.
In separate incidents reported by a neighbor, Sanabia allegedly punched and hit cats earlier than dragging them away by their tails.

“We encourage our residents to report animal abuse and neglect to their native police departments,” the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Workplace mentioned in a press release.
In all, Sanabia faces 13 counts of animal cruelty, suggesting prosecutors have proof of assaults on not less than that many felines.
He was initially charged in July earlier than the case was turned over to a grand jury, which indicted him on Tuesday.
Sanabia couldn’t be reached for remark Friday, and it was unclear if he had retained a protection lawyer.
