Capcom announces a large-scale expansion in development for Monster Hunter Wilds as part of the game’s first anniversary festivities. A new video highlights the upcoming patch, which concludes major content updates and launches on February 18.
Producer’s Exciting Tease
At the video’s conclusion, Monster Hunter Wilds producer Ryozo Tsujimoto outlines the open-world RPG’s future. “We are currently at work on a large scale expansion similar to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for Monster Hunter Wilds,” Tsujimoto states. “We plan to share more information with you this summer, so please look forward to it.”
What to Expect
This expansion could introduce a fresh region, new and returning monsters, updated armor and weapon sets, or even ties to a Nintendo Switch 2 release. Details remain under wraps for now.
Immediate Updates
Players anticipate Arch-tempered Arkveld, 10-star Arch-Tempered monsters, a new side mission, and event quests in the February patch. A collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection arrives soon, ahead of its March 13 launch.
