Schools across Nova Scotia stay closed today as cleanup crews tackle the aftermath of a major snowfall. A low-pressure system moved south of the province from Wednesday through Thursday, dropping up to 25 centimetres of snow in several areas.

Snow continues to fall in northern and western parts of the province, with yellow snowfall warnings still active, Environment Canada reports.
