MANILA, Philippines – New contingents have joined the same old teams who arrange and took part in September 21 mobilizations: runners and bikes coming from completely different components of the metro.

“Kung tutuusin parang simula pa lang itong flood management,” Belda. “‘Di pa natin pinag-uusapan ‘tong mga road-widening, mga ‘di pa tapos na mga tulay, iba’t-ibang mga development works na ‘di naman natin — ‘di na tayo nakikinabang.”

(Truly, flood management is simply the beginning. We’re not speaking of highway widening tasks but, the unfininished bridges, many different development works that we don’t profit from.)
