Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Kelly delivered a touching speech honoring Ozzy Osbourne as he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 BRIT Awards.
Family Tribute on Stage
Dolly Parton introduced the pair through a pre-recorded message from Nashville. Sharon accepted the award on behalf of her late husband, describing him as “the most humble egomaniac you could ever meet.”
“I’m honored to accept this Lifetime Achievement Award from my gorgeous husband,” Sharon told the crowd. “God knows, I wish he was here to accept it himself.”
She shared stories of Ozzy’s journey from a working-class Birmingham neighborhood to global stardom. Despite highs and lows, he constantly pushed to improve personally and professionally. Ozzy toured worldwide but remained proud of his Brummie roots.
Sharon noted his love for England and accepted the award for his family, fellow musicians, and fans who lined Birmingham streets during his memorial. “If Ozzy was here tonight, he would be showing us that gorgeous smile,” she said. “He left us an amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.”
Kelly’s Heartfelt Words
Kelly then spoke emotionally: “Thank you for loving my father as much as we do.” She added playfully, “I hope I don’t disrespect Manchester by saying this, but up the Villa and Birmingham,” supporting her father’s football team. The Manchester audience responded with boos, prompting Sharon to laugh: “I knew you were gonna get that. I told you.”
Robbie Williams’ Powerful Performance
Robbie Williams followed with a tribute, fronting a supergroup featuring Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos, and Zakk Wylde—members of Ozzy’s band. They performed “No More Tears,” closing the ceremony on a high note with large images of Ozzy displayed behind them.
Ozzy, the Black Sabbath frontman, passed away in July 2025 at age 76, just two weeks after his farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.
