BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A sequence of reported threats towards traditionally Black schools and universities throughout the U.S. on Thursday led to lockdown orders, canceled courses and heightened safety.

Authorities didn’t elaborate on the kind of threats that had been made and no accidents have been reported. The FBI informed The Related Press that they’re taking the “hoax risk calls“ significantly and that there’s “no data to point a reputable risk.”

Though lockdowns have since been lifted, faculties that obtained the threats proceed to behave with an abundance of warning.
