President Donald Trump led a presidential motorcade through the drained Reflecting Pool at the Lincoln Memorial on Thursday to review ongoing renovation work.
Renovation Details
Last month, President Trump directed contractors to resurface the pool with an industrial-grade finish in American flag blue, addressing concerns about its condition. The project involves an Oklahoma-based painting crew upgrading the iconic Washington, D.C., landmark.
Accompanied by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, the president stopped to assess progress and engage with the workers.
Exchange with Crew
White House communications advisor Margo Martin shared on X that the visit focused on evaluating the project’s advancements and recognizing the team’s efforts. During the stop, President Trump highlighted his strong electoral performance in Oklahoma. One worker responded enthusiastically, stating, “We love you in Oklahoma.”
