SAN DIEGO (AP) — The Trump administration has sued California for offering in-state school tuition, scholarships, and state-funded monetary support to college students who aren’t legally in the USA.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday within the U.S. District Court docket for the Jap District of California, alleges the apply harms U.S. residents and encourages unlawful immigration. Among the many defendants are the state, prime state officers, and the state’s two public college methods, the College of California and California State.
