WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump stated that Hamas should comply with a proposed peace deal for Gaza by 6 p.m. ET on Sunday and threatened that the group will face extra assaults if it doesn’t.
“An Settlement should be reached with Hamas by Sunday Night at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time,” Trump wrote Friday on social media. “Each Nation has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE settlement shouldn’t be reached, all HELL, like nobody has ever seen earlier than, will get away in opposition to Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.”
The Republican president unveiled the plan alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week.
