With four events remaining—one race per discipline—Aicher trails Shiffrin by 140 points. Race wins award 100 points each. Shiffrin lost five points to Aicher in Saturday’s giant slalom, finishing fifth, but gained 20 points back with Sunday’s triumph.

Concentrating on slalom and giant slalom this season, plus two super-G starts, Shiffrin holds 1,286 total points, including 880 from slalom. She clinched her record ninth slalom globe in January, ahead of the Olympics.
Aicher has notched nine podiums across slalom, super-G, and downhill, with three speed event wins.
Shiffrin’s latest success matches her eight slaloms from the 2018-19 season—a feat previously achieved only by Croatia’s Janica Kostelic 25 years prior. Her career totals now include 72 slalom wins and 109 overall World Cup victories, both records.
