Chessington World of Adventures reveals plans for Minecraft World, a £50 million immersive theme park land set to open in 2027. This partnership between Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios brings the best-selling video game’s iconic biomes, mobs, and items to life in a physical space for the first time at a major UK theme park.
Key Features and Attractions
The new land transforms the former Wild Asia area, with construction already underway. Visitors will experience a thrilling coaster, interactive adventures, massive block-built playscapes, and themed retail and dining. All elements promise an unmistakably authentic Minecraft vibe.

Upcoming PAW Patrol World in 2026
Before Minecraft arrives, Chessington launches World of PAW Patrol in spring 2026. Highlights include four attractions: Chase’s Mountain Mission rollercoaster for young children, Skye’s Helicopter Heroes high-flying ride, Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue, and Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure, the UK’s first drifter-style ride.
Rubble and Rocky’s Playzone offers climbing, sliding, and exploration. Meet-and-greets with the pups feature, alongside PAW Patrol-themed sleepover rooms at the Azteca hotel, accommodating up to five guests with bunk beds.
