Emergency Medical Response
Medical personnel assess the injured on-site, with authorities coordinating rapid care. Peru’s Ministry of Health issued a statement confirming the mobilization of eight Mobile Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) units, working alongside the General Volunteer Fire Department.
“The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that, following the report of a structural collapse at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium, in the La Victoria district, eight units were mobilised through the Mobile Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) to provide prehospital care to those affected, in coordination with the General Volunteer Fire Department of Peru.”
Preliminary assessments record 60 injuries, with ongoing evaluations and treatments. Three individuals transferred to National Hospital Arzobispo Loayza, while National Hospital Dos de Mayo and nearby facilities prepare for additional cases.
