Helen Flanagan captivated attendees at the Aintree Grand National Festival’s Ladies Day in Liverpool on Friday. The 35-year-old former Coronation Street star turned heads in a flowing black-and-white printed dress featuring a plunging neckline and striking bow straps. She complemented the outfit with a black hat, matching heels, pendant earrings, and a £5,000 Chanel handbag.
Throwback to Past Glamorous Looks
Hours before her arrival, Helen shared Instagram photos of her previous appearances at the event. In 2024, she wore a figure-hugging black dress with dramatic ruffled details and a chic hat. The following year, she commanded attention in a bold red-and-pink caped gown paired with coordinating hat and heels.
Helen expressed her enthusiasm ahead of the event, stating: “So excited for Ladies Day tomorrow @aintreeracecourse – one of my favourite days of the year.”
Theatre Tour and On-the-Road Challenges
Currently starring as Princess Jill in the Mother Goose Easter Panto on a nationwide theatre tour, Helen revealed her unconventional packing habits. In a recent Instagram Story from Wales, she explained her disorganization, attributed to ADHD, and showed fans a white bin bag stuffed with her belongings as makeshift luggage.
“Organisation is not my strong point – obviously ADHD,” she said. “But I could not cope with lugging my suitcase around any further.” She added that she arrived at the theatre with the bag, declaring: “I can’t cope with a suitcase any longer!”
Travelodge Checkout Dispute
Days earlier, Helen detailed a frustrating experience at a Travelodge in Northampton. After a late night following a performance in Mansfield, she overslept past checkout time during her stay before a Tuesday show.
Helen recounted the incident on Instagram: “I basically went to bed at half one and woke up at 12. I literally woke up to this woman at 12 o’clock banging on my door, telling me to open the door.”
She continued: “I went ‘oh hi sorry’. She said ‘checkout is at 12’. I said ‘sorry I didn’t know, I’ll just have a quick shower and go’. She said ‘no you can’t have a shower, you need to get out now before I ring the police.'”
