Pete Davidson, the 32-year-old stand-up comedian, shared a candid joke about his new life as a father during a recent performance at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas.
Navigating Fatherhood with Humor
Davidson welcomed his first child, daughter Scottie Rose, with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt in December 2025. During the show—his first stand-up appearance in five months—he remarked on the challenges of parenthood.
‘I got a little girl. It’s weird having a little girl,’ he said. He quipped that it’s ‘hard to watch porn… in front of her,’ before adding with a laugh, ‘I still did. I power through.’
Embracing the Joys of Being a ‘Girl Dad’
Beyond the humor, Davidson expressed genuine enthusiasm for fatherhood. ‘It’s a lot of fun,’ he noted, later calling the experience ‘great.’
In a January interview, he described Scottie as ‘the biggest gift.’ He explained that nothing compares to her, shifting priorities away from career and social life. ‘I still want to do cool stuff, but it’s like, “Well, how long do I have to be away?” Or, “Is this worth being away?”‘
Davidson praised Hewitt’s natural motherhood skills. ‘The whole time I was very sure and knew that she would be great at being a mom,’ he said. ‘She’s very caring and… puts everybody else’s needs first.’ He highlighted her ability to calm their daughter effortlessly.
Future Family Plans and Tour Dates
The couple, who began dating in March 2025 and announced Hewitt’s pregnancy in July, plans to expand their family. ‘We want her to have a friend, for sure,’ Davidson admitted. ‘We love the idea of her being a big sister.’ Though the prospect feels ‘absolutely insane right now,’ he marveled at the ’empowering’ birth process.
Davidson continues his comedy tour with shows scheduled at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, on April 22, Winnipeg on July 17, and Tacoma, Washington, on August 28.
