“This seems like the right time to step back, enjoy a sleep-in, take a break without a camera crew and prepare for my next adventure,” Davies shared. Steven Burling, director of morning television at Nine, expressed his appreciation for Davies’ contributions. Burling described Davies as a “much loved” member of the Today team, whose departure leaves “enormous shoes to fill.” He acknowledged the personal impact of the role, noting, “We are fully supportive of Tim laying down some roots after seven years of living out of a suitcase.” Burling extended his thanks to Davies for his dedication and predicted he would be “greatly missed by the team and the audience.”
