Irish presenter and model Vogue Williams is nearing the end of her fourth pregnancy, with the possibility of welcoming her new baby boy this weekend. The 40-year-old shared a glimpse into her final preparations, humorously noting her decision to apply a fake tan as she anticipates the imminent arrival.
Pregnancy Preparations and a Last-Minute Name Change
Williams, who is married to former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, revealed her unique approach to preparing for labor. “I’m going to meet my baby lovely and bronzed,” she quipped, while applying her own brand of self-tanner, Bare By Vogue. She explained the rationale behind her timing: “I’m aware this sounds ridiculous but I have been considering when to my tan. I could be giving birth this weekend so I need to have my tan on!” The presenter showcased her prominent baby bump, indicating she is in the very late stages of her pregnancy.
The couple, who already share three children – Theodore, seven, Gigi, six, and Otto, four – recently disclosed a significant change regarding their unborn son’s name. Originally, they had planned to name their fourth child Elvis, a tribute to the iconic singer. However, during a recent episode of their podcast, “My Therapist Ghosted Me,” Williams announced that the name had been reconsidered.
The Elvis Name Dilemma
Williams elaborated on the decision to abandon the name Elvis, explaining that while she loved it, concerns were raised by family members. “Spenny has been getting a few phone calls from family members regarding the name,” she shared. Her co-host, Joanne McNally, humorously suggested that “Gary” might not be as controversial as Elvis, adding to the lighthearted discussion.
The presenter admitted that she herself had reservations about the name Elvis, despite her fondness for it. “I honestly thought though because it’s been on my mind I just, I haven’t ever been 100 percent comfortable with it,” Williams stated. She cited potential future challenges for her son, adding, “But because as much as I love the name it’s such a big name to take on when you’re little or trying to get a job when you’re older.” While Elvis was her favorite option, she confirmed that they now have “no name” and are exploring other possibilities, though she still holds other “very cool options” in reserve.
Reflections on Marriage and Pregnancy
In other recent discussions on their podcast, Williams touched upon her relationship with Spencer Matthews, humorously suggesting that he might not find her as attractive during her pregnancy. “I’m trying to look good looking today because I don’t think Spenny fancies me anymore,” she remarked. McNally playfully responded, suggesting that after years of marriage, such a sentiment might be expected.
Williams clarified her comment, laughing it off and explaining that she felt their “fun times are over” due to the advanced stage of her pregnancy. She recounted a conversation where Matthews commented on her pregnancy, leading her to question if he was still attracted to her. Matthews reportedly responded by pointing out that she was due to give birth imminently. McNally added that this might mean Matthews is now being more respectful and giving her space.
As Vogue Williams approaches the birth of her fourth child, the focus remains on the imminent arrival of her son, with the family eagerly awaiting the new addition. The couple’s journey through pregnancy and parenthood continues to be shared with their followers, offering a candid look into their lives.
