Bitget Wallet Card Offers Digital Asset Cashback Rewards
SHARE

Bitget Wallet has introduced a novel rewards program for its cardholders, replacing traditional cash rebates with a selection of digital assets. This new initiative, dubbed “Assetback,” allows eligible users to receive cashback in cryptocurrencies, tokenized equities, or other digital financial instruments, offering a unique approach to loyalty programs in the digital payments space. The program is accessible to Bitget Wallet Card users in various global markets, including the UK, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Introducing the Assetback Program

The Assetback program fundamentally redefines how cardholders are rewarded. Instead of monetary rebates, users can opt to receive their cashback in assets such as Bitcoin, tokenized gold, or even specific digital representations of stocks and ETFs. This strategic shift aims to align rewards with the growing interest in digital asset investment and provides users with greater flexibility in how they benefit from their card usage.

Reward Tiers and Earning Potential

Under the new scheme, cardholders are entitled to a base cashback rate of 2%. For users who are new to the program or those who consistently meet a specified monthly spending threshold, an enhanced “Booster” rate of 3% is available. This higher rate is applicable for the entire month in which the spending threshold is met, as well as the subsequent calendar month, offering a significant incentive for increased card utilization.

Seamless Reward Application

A key feature of the Assetback program is its automated reward calculation and application. This means users do not need to undertake any manual steps, such as opening separate brokerage accounts or actively investing their cashback. The system handles the process seamlessly, ensuring that rewards are credited directly and efficiently, enhancing the user experience.

Diverse Reward Options

The program boasts an impressive array of seven distinct reward options, catering to a wide range of user preferences:

  • Bitcoin: A leading cryptocurrency for those looking to accumulate digital currency.
  • Tokenized Gold: A digital representation of gold, offering exposure to a traditional safe-haven asset.
  • Nvidia (Tokenized Stock): Investment in a major technology company through a tokenized share.
  • Tesla (Tokenized Stock): Exposure to the electric vehicle and energy company via its tokenized stock.
  • Google (Tokenized Stock): Investment in Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, through its tokenized equity.
  • S&P 500 (Tokenized ETF): A digital representation of the S&P 500 index, providing diversified market exposure.
  • USDC: A stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, offering stability within the digital asset ecosystem.

The tokenized stock and ETF offerings are facilitated through a partnership with xStocks, a platform specializing in digital asset representation of traditional securities.

Managing Reward Preferences

Cardholders have the flexibility to change their selected reward asset once per month through their card settings. It is important to note that any changes made will only affect future cashback accruals, not those already earned or pending. While USDC rewards are directly credited to the user’s card balance, other assets are transferred to a dedicated Rewards Account. These rewards become accessible seven days after the qualifying transaction, provided a minimum accumulation of 1 USDC equivalent has been reached.

Program Limitations and Exclusions

Like most financial programs, Assetback is subject to certain terms and conditions. Rewards are capped monthly, and certain merchant categories may be excluded from the program due to risk controls. Furthermore, transactions that are refunded, reversed, or cancelled will not be eligible for cashback rewards.

Enhanced Functionality of Bitget Wallet Card

The introduction of the Assetback program further enhances the utility of the Bitget Wallet Card. The card already allows users to seamlessly top up their balances using various digital assets, including USDT and USDC. It functions widely, being accepted by merchants that support Visa or Mastercard payments. Additionally, the card can be easily integrated with popular mobile payment services like Apple Pay and Google Pay, offering convenience for everyday transactions.

Currently, the Bitget Wallet Card is available in the UK and the EEA, with expanding availability in select markets across Latin America, the Asia-Pacific region, South Asia, South Africa, and China.

Growing Trend in Digital Asset-Linked Payments

This development by Bitget Wallet aligns with a broader upward trend in the adoption of payment cards linked to digital assets. Transaction volumes in this sector have seen substantial growth. For instance, monthly transaction volume reached $656 million in May 2026, a significant increase from $271 million in May 2025. The cumulative transaction volume has now surpassed $7.8 billion, indicating a maturing market and increasing consumer confidence.

Bitget Wallet itself has reported a near threefold increase in its card spending during the first half of 2026. The company noted that user spending patterns are increasingly mirroring those observed in traditional consumer payment behaviors, suggesting a growing integration of digital assets into everyday commerce.

Future Plans and User Engagement

Looking ahead, Bitget Wallet plans to roll out additional regional campaigns and a user-generated content initiative to further promote the Assetback program and its associated card services. Specific details regarding these upcoming campaigns are expected to be shared through the company’s official social media channels, encouraging broader user participation and awareness.

The Assetback program represents a significant innovation in the space, offering a compelling alternative to traditional cashback rewards by leveraging the potential of digital assets and providing users with a dynamic and potentially rewarding way to manage their spending.
