Vice President JD Vance advised “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” on Sunday that the layoff notices that have been despatched round this weekend — a few of which have been rescinded — occurred as a result of the “authorities shutdown inevitably results in some chaos.” Vance accused Democrats, notably Senate Minority Chief Chuck Schumer, of taking “the complete federal authorities hostage over a well being care coverage dispute.”
